About Street Sports Poulsbo

We take pride in our knowledge of and dedication to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Yoga with over 20 years of experience in each art. Whether you are training for fun, hobby, competition, or looking for a new fitness routine- our academy has something for you.

We proudly offer world renowned instruction in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi), submission grappling (No-Gi), and Muay Thai. We have classes for kids (as young as age 1), beginners, women only, advanced practitioners, and also offer private lessons.

Head Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joao da Rosa is from Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Joao has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1999. He has also trained in Judo, Muay Thai, and MMA. Joao was awarded his black belt by Master Carlos Machado and Master Renato Magno in 2018.

Bonnie da Rosa began practicing Yoga in 1998 and Jiu-Jitsu in 2013. She received her black belt in 2024. Bonnie has over 10 years of Yoga teaching experience and currently holds an E-RYT 500 hour Yoga teaching certification. Bonnie teaches Yoga, kids, beginner, and women's programs.

Sarah discovered martial arts in 2019 through Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing. She is currently a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Sarah teaches kids, beginner, and women's Jiu-Jitsu programs.

Charlie began Jiu-Jitsu in 2021. He currently holds a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu. Charlie teaches kids and beginner programs.
